**UPDATE** LETS RESPOND 2 CBS

CBS UPDATE:
A huge THANK YOU to those that sent an email to Mary and hopefully 60 Minutes II as well.
I intend to place a call to both Mary and the 60 Minutes producers this week. To that end, it will be VERY HELPFUL if those that did send an email would please confirm that by sending me a simply one or two line message to hadenuff@kdlltd.com
I just need to know how many were actually sent, and if they were sent to both Mary AND 60 Minutes II.
Once again, thank you all for supporting me in this attempt to call attention to our plight.

CBS News Health Contributor Dr. Jordan Metzl
I needed to complete a bit of research prior to including this as part of the updated information.
Dr. Metzl’s major line of work appears to be in sports and dance medicine, but the mere fact that he has already appeared on a CBS news program and spoken of Cluster headaches only strengthens our capability of being heard. Here is the link to the interview and what Dr. Metzl had to say on The Saturday Early Show….granted, this took place in 2001…….

So in addition to calling Mary and 60 Minutes II producers, I will also be contacting Dr. Metzl via email and phone this week. I hope to persuade Dr. Metzl to impress upon Ms McGeever that Cluster headaches are indeed a serious disease, and a cause worthy of the airtime that she and/or 60 Minutes II might possibly provide.

The press has their own agenda. They are out to sell - which means sensationalize, make a splash - whatever. They may not portray "the cause" in the light you want.

Well, then I guess I'd have to sue their asses off for slander and collect enough to pay for the clinical trials.
No one is bartering drugs or paying for drugs, or anything illegal, with paypal or by any other method.
It would be an interesting arguement over the facts in court as to whom the "whackos" really are. The chronics that will try a method that was proven in studies over 50 years ago, to be effective, to end their suffering, or the polititions that make this treatment unavailable to everyone.
Even with that show lead in, I'd still be able to reach millions of people about clusters and this treatment. Some of them being cluster sufferers. To those that aren't sufferers or don't understand, I couldn't care less. Our mission is not to help the blind to see, but to help cluster sufferers live a pain free life.
Do you think the cancer patients that are now getting relief and in some cases, seeing improvement in their cancers, care more about finding out the information or reading the stories about the federal government calling them pot smoking druggies?
If you care more about how you're viewed by some a**hole in a suit sitting behind a desk in D.C. than you do about your own health and well being, your families future, the pain you must endure, then.... "houston," you have a problem.

Mine was all sarcasm. But I do believe that people should take the time to send a damn e-mail to someone that might be able to get us out there in the media. If you keep beating your head against the wall, eventually, you'll knock a few bricks out. We never know when the big break will come, but we can rest assured that if we do nothing, it will never come. Just my humble opinion.

I have to agree that eventually if one of these news guys get enough emails regarding Clusters one might actually decide that it is worth putting on the air.
Actually I have seen somewhere on the web already where people have made comment about the clusterbusters site and that people talk openly abut taking magic mushrooms to releive pain from this particular type of HA. I will have to try and find that article. I did not think much about it at the time, cause well we talk about it all the time here.

Bombarding anyone with email won't work. 99% of it will never get a look. I don't think quantity of email is very effective. The only thing that people "complain" about is that they have to open snail mail. Too much chance of a check to ignore.
By the way, the reason that shrooms and marijauana are illegal is that unlike booze, drug companies can't make a buck. Only in Amerika.
