Pick ups from the airport (CONVENTION)

I will be willing to offer lifts from the airport to the hotel.
Obviously I can't do it for everyone, but I will do my best to pick up as many people as my little car will manage.
So if you need help, please let me know and I will start to write down times that people are arriving and see what I can do if this makes sense. I can only do this on The Thursday and the Friday of that weekend.

I read Jaynes post first and thought "Thomas will never fit in that car"......LMMFAO

And: It will take about 7/8 hrs, we'll fly through NewYork.
The cost? Too much for a Ligurian but not so much to meet a great group of cluster-buddies!

With federal security at airports, no one can get past security to the gates without a boarding pass. In other words, cannot meet at arriving gate.
I am not familiar with the Nashville Airport (BNA), but it would be best for each incoming person to know which terminal their airline will be landing at and give that info to the person picking up in advance.
If you are checking in luggage, someone picking you up can meet you at the baggage carousel where you will pick up your luggage. I do not think it is reliable or possible to know which carousel the luggage will come down, so where to meet in the luggage area should be pre-arranged (such as by the Hertz rental counter or such).
If you are flying with carry-on only, then you can simply meet in the ticket lobby or right outside a terminal door. Again, those picking up should designate which door or landmark to meet by, there is no parking in front of terminals.
Persons flying should have airline and flt #, where you could meet, should be pre-arranged prior to departure with the person picking up.
Persons picking up could call the particular airline to check if flight is ontime or will be late. Or, go to terminal which flight is arriving into and look up on the arrival screens.
Things should go smoother and less frustrating with correct flt info and a little pre-planning. Those picking up are doing a wonderful favor, help make their avid contributions as easy as possible for them.
I believe Nashville is a busy hub for Northwest flights and Southwest, all other airlines of course fly there too.
Also, I just wanted to add: I am sure we have many experienced air travelers, but if there is a question about what to bring and not bring aboard, the Transporation Security Administration is at: www.tsa.gov
Oxygen will be most likely not accepted since Valujet incident in FL. Check with airline also on their procedures and policies re that.
