I can do most anything. I have had ever test the Good Lord could think to thrown my waY. The old devil has even thrown a few things my way and I got by some how. I made it throw illness, death of family members, Money problems, divorce, kids running away, all the heartaches of watching them get hurt by life through
the years. Watching my parents slowy dieing every day.
I think all the pain that we go throw kills a little part of our heart each time. I think it kills us till it don't beat no more. It gets full of pain and no joy and you just die.
This old heart of mine is getting to full of pain. I can usually find something to easy the pain and dull it. I tell ya the pains get sharper with age I guess.
Sometimes its really hard to get up! Todays one of those days for me! Just needed a shoulder figgered this was where I could find one or two!

You're right. It's tough watching our parents get old. I had this problem with mom only. Dad went suddenly.
I spent too much time anticipating her death and what I would do. I realize you're describing a very different scenario. Somehow you have to remember to get up and dressed every day and get in a little fun. There's nothing written down that says you can't. No doubt they feel the same.

Take a little time for just you. Take buddy and go sit in a park or by a river. Dont talk, dont do anything, but let nature be around and you be a part of it. Cry if you need it, yell, hit the ground, whatever. Get it all out. Trying to be so very strong all the time fills up your soul with pain and at some point you have to empty that out or you forget yourself.

My pops passed on some 20 odd years ago, ya never really get over it. Somehow you just come to accept the fate life deals us and eventually move on.
I had it put once to me in a way that was somewhat easier. She had called it the "Comforter" She said that when something traumatic happens the lord feels this pain and in time will send an angel "The Comforter" to come and ease your pain. You may not see it you may not feel it for some great amount of time, but, to be certain it is there none the less.
Let us be your "Comforter" E, let us help the pain wash away and to release whatever suffering you may have been or are carrying. The burden can be overwhelming...so in your time of need, let us lighten the load as much as we can.

I'm so sorry that you are feeling such pain right now. I've got 2 shoulders for you! I don't believe that the trials & heartaches that we go through slowly kill us. I believe that they make us stronger. This is why you are the strong, loving, supportive person that you are. If you had an empty heart, you wouldn't be able to help so many others. God has blessed you with the gift of compassion for others. You hurt more because you LOVE more. He will not let your heart become empty. Instead he will continue to fill it with love.
There are tons of people here who love you Elaine. We won't let you fall down when you're hurting.
I agree with the others....go do something just for yourself today. Get some fresh air, go for a walk (if it's not too cold), or go buy something for yourself  . Sometimes we have to stop to do stuff for ourselves once in awhile.
