Hello,
I'm a producer with WCBS-News in NY working on a story about sexual headaches. I am looking for people who suffer from this type of headache/migraine to discuss it on our news program. If anyone is interested, please email me at mmmcgeever@cbs.com

Mary,
some people have reported that orgasm is a trigger for their cluster headaches; it is a real phenomenon, but not typical of cluster headache.
I am aware of one scientific article published on this topic, although you are probably looking for the human interest angle:
Klimek A., "Orgasm--a new trigger factor of cluster headache?" Cephalalgia. 1990 Aug;10(4):205-6.
Cluster headaches are similar to migraines in some ways, but are very different in other ways. Glad to hear that you are doing a story to educate people on problems like these.

The term "Sexual Headache" just confirms in my mind that "Cluster Headache" is a lame name. How about "Fucking Headaches' Sure, you can have your sexual headache but you ain't had nothin' 'til you have a "Fucking Headache". It's got sex AND swearing!

You might have better luck posting over on achenet.. www.achenet.org There are people there who suffer from tons of different types of headaches. I'm not sure you'll find any takers on the cluster headaches message boards. Good luck!

I know by now you are probably full of disgust and anger at the response to your post. Don’t be…..we suffer with a very debilitating illness that most doctors cannot even diagnose properly. We could really use the assistance of someone in your position.
If you would like to her a little more, please give me a call at 1-877-406-9165 and I will try to explain a bit more about Cluster aka ‘suicide’ headaches. I myself came within minutes of pulling the trigger to stop the pain. So this is no joke, and maybe now you will understand why you received the response you did on the CH board.
