Cologne/Perfume a trigger?

I've been pf since Monday...yippee..until I walked into one of the admin offices at work this a.m.
One of the ladies had put on cologne or perfume prior to arriving at the office and I went upstairs into her office and had not been in there 5 min. when I started getting hit!
This was not allergies but a CH!
Does anyone else notice cologne/perfume as a trigger?

Oh yeah..........Strong perfume will trigger a headache when I am in cycle everytime. I sing in a choir, and the last time that I was in cycle, I walked into choir practice and the perfume hit me, and I had to leave.
The ladies decided that they would not wear any more perfume until my cycle was over. I will never forget that gesture.

Never noticed this as a trigger for me, but lots of people report it is for them. Mine start in my sleep, and continue through morning. I go to work when the beast lets me, and am PF until I decide I need sleep.

Nope to cologne & perfume. But, the smell of maple syrup kicks me into a CH. During a cycle IHOP is strictly off-limits for me.

Lessee, colgnes, perfumes, night bloomin jasmine, solvents, smoke from a BBQ and more. I once worked at an office where we had a gal that worked 2nd shift. I think she bought her perfume at K Mart; 10 cents a gallon. There were 2 doors, one an outside and another at the end of a hallway that lead to my office. I could tell when she walked thru the outside door; the beast would attack immediately. If I stayed in the same room with her I was guaranteed a 10 by quitting time. Fortunately for me, she had major attendence probs and was let go. For example, she found out she could get 3 days off for a death in the immediate family. Her family started dropping like flies 'til grandma died..... twice.
But yes, those are major triggers for me.

Strong Colognes and Perfumes REALLY make it tough on Blake....Almost always causes a cluster....unless he can get away from it soon enough. So does nail polish and remover. He also has trouble with the smell of raw onions.
I love beautiful perfumes but have had to give them up for years....he's given up his colognes too...

Most definately!
All colognes, cig smoke, toner from the copy machine and many other things! Very sensitive to smells, can't even have a little whif.
Avoid everything like the plague.

I can't wear perfume during my cycle, flowers also bother me, and copier toner too! One of the biggest things smell wise that bothers me is cleaning products, so my house stays dirty during cycle.

Absolutely. If I have to walk through the fragrance section at a department store I shout "No!" to the "squirters" and breathe through my mouth!
Even the detergent aisle at the grocery store can bother me. Getting on an empty elevator when someone had been in it with a lot of perfume has triggered me. That's one of my pet peeves. In the morning if someone gets on with a lot of perfume I hop off if I don't think I'll be able to hold my breath.
Walking past an incense vendor on the street will do it, even from a half block away if the wind is right. Beauty parlor chemicals REALLY get me. Burning food, too.
I can only wear vetiver, lavender, and for some reason, Grey Flannel, but usually just don't use any cologne. Got a bottle of cologne for my birthday last year from some well-meaning friends and had to spray some on and rave about it, got one from that.
When I first started my job people were spraying air freshener because of a coworker with awful BO/cat piss smell but now they warn me before they spray. Got a couple of attacks that way.
The attacks triggered by smells are always really bad ones, too, come on fast, hit HARD, last a long time, resistant to abortives.

The smell of gasoline got me once. Other than that, I haven't noticed any other smell triggers.

Not all, but most. Scented candles as well. Natural fragrances don't bother me, but the chemical imitations will do it every time. I was in Wal Mart andthey moved a candle display to an end cap. I literally hit my knees with a 10 on the spot and had to be helped out of the store. Room fresheners are an instant 8 to 10 too.

Wow!!! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only with with problems with cologne/perfumes.
After reading the other posts it jogged my poor memory that i can't get anywhere near that stuff..oh...you know that dry stuff on a stick...a stick with round things on it and they put it in alot of artificial plants.
my memory sucks! Can't even remember the name of that stuff...they have lots of it at Garden Ridge, Michael's, MJ Designs, etc. and it stinks.
Anyone have any clue what stinky stick of plant i'm referring to? omg...my mind is empty! I wish I could remember if there ever was any memory there or not. 
anyway, there won't be anymore cologne/perfume wearers at my office anymore for sure and I don't have any of those stinky sticks in fake plants either.

Yep, I'm the same with cologne's and cleaners. I had to switch to fragrant free laundry detergent and softener and shampoo and conditioner. The one big one for me is when an orange is peeled near me, insta 10, and my husband loves them. Thank goodness he loves me more.

When I am in cycle, all of my senses are heightened. Smell, taste, vision, hearing, touch, any stimuli that presses the "envelope" will put the beast on a rampage, just like kip, all kinds of smells, I can't even eat grilled meat when in cycle, I can taste the lighter fluid in the meat...... nasty.......... but as soon as I'm out of cycle, my senses return to normal. Then I get to have a big fat steak and a cold beer...... mmmmm.....
