Question for the PC crew!

Does anyone know how to remove or disable "Fortress 101" Security? Got a pc sitting here with that installed on it & no password to get past it..cant do anything with it...cept make it a paperweight perhaps . Any thoughts on getting this program outta there? Thanks for any & all help Shari

If you are on XP you can try booting to "safe mode"and remove the program there. Or if you have the repair disk for your OS you could boot from it, or you try to contact Fortres and see if they might help, but I doubt they will without proof of ownership of the PC in question, or you could just re-load the OS and start from scratch. You might try un-plugging the PC and removing the battery from the motherboard for 24 hours, it works by re-setting CMOS information. I also found this but it is not for the faint of heart but sounds good on the first read. Good Luck, Mark
