Day two with new pup

I finally got my little Beagle girl.  She's the sweetest doggy baby I ever saw.  I named her Sweet Polly Purebred (with the help of my adult  children).....remember that comic?  It was Underdogs girlfriend.....so I call her Polly.

I took a few extra days off work to kind of get her started on the right foot.

When I tell her to "get down", she sits and bays at me.  That's the only time she talks back, but it is very obvious that that is what she is doing.  It is just too cute.

I am just tickled pink to have her.

Everyone needs a hobby - kids, grandkids, beagles.......

Know you're having a great time with Ms Polly. Give her a hug from Aunt Barb.... you know how I am about my babies - never saw a dog I couldn't get attached to real quick.

Well donna, i'm sure glad ya'll are tickled.  Cuz i really can't wait ta hear from ya in a couple of months - LOL - like ------ i felt the same exact way.....

actually, i still love miss tink....althought i can't stand the fact that every time i'm not looking she pees in some godforsaken spot i was not anticipating....see - fact is i used to own REAL. BIG. DOGS.  I had two Rotties who - if they EVER peed on the floor would walk the house in SHAME feeling LOWER than low for doing such a wicked thing as peeing on the floor...........then - we got TINK.  A TEENY dog that weighs less than my cat.  WELL.  She is a BITCH.  WHAT IS IT with small dogs?  They are peculiarly obnoxious and seem to find HUGE amusement in seeing me WIG out over a tiny puddle of urin?????  Huh  AND!  She freakin TERRORIZES my cat who is huge and mighty and lived here WAY b4 TINK did.  I remember the Rotties would lay on the floor and the cat would curl up by the Rotty's belly.  TINK - on the other hand - insists on tailgating the cat with her nose strait up the cat's Butt in a most spectacular show of curious disrespect.... Huh

Oh well, piddle de dee. Grin  keep us posted!  And get wee-wee pads Cheesy

Try havein 15 pups at once.......holy CRAP..........and I mean that literally !!!! Small dogs esp those with hunting and herding abilities are normally more energetic and 'arguementive' and obnoxious.......they have to posess undieing engery and at a whim and have that 'never quit' attitude even if it carries over to jus harrassing the cat or chaseing things in the house or cars in the road as a domesticated animal. There nature is to "always be ready and to never stop" ! Pam that would sumtimes like to kick dogs like that  Wink
