Reading up some about MS. Man, and I thought having CH, CPH and TMJ sucked!!! One thing I definitley don't want is this wheelchair shit! If the pain in my legs that crept in my right arm a bit ago gets worse, i may be ER bound by morning. Shit! Carl D

Carl, Hang in there dude! If it turns out to be MS, let me know. The ST is not so bad, just make damn sure you get it from someone who has done PLENTY of them! They have made great strides in preventing attacks. I have a good friend that has MS, and I can put you in touch with him. Other than a weekly shot, he lives a "normal" life. They even allowed him to stay in the military with this... The key is, early treatment. Regards! Chris

My wife has had MS since the mid 1990's. She is a 4.0 tennis player, plays in city leagues, routinely decimates her opponents with extreme prejudice, runs, works out at the gym, drinks herculean amounts of alcohol when the mood strikes her, raises our daughter, etc. etc. and so forth. In short, aside from the betaseron she takes every other day, her life is relatively normal. And this is with experiencing optic neuritis, muscle spasms ALL the time, et al. It can be done. Do not fall prey to the "cliches" about MS. Look into the betaseron/avonex/copaxone treatments. They have pretty good success limiting flair ups. Martinis help too.

You DEFINITELY can benefit from one of those drugs. Word on the street is that betaseron is DOSED correctly. Mention that to him. I'd explore these drugs in a skinny minute if I had MS. And not to patronize you as I do not know your situation obviously, but if you do not have good insurance it is difficult. One month's supply of this drug for the wife is $1600. We pay a co-pay of $20. Thank you Jesus!!!
