So, I'm "new" here, since it's been a long time since I've been back...My Name is Pete...I get clusters (and migraines, and chronic daily headaches, but that one's under control)

So, it's been 4 years since my last real episode...false starts here and there, but nothing major.  4 years.  Ya know, sometimes you can trick yourself into thinking that they will never come back...

Tuesday night I get one.  Massive pain.  I'm thinking, well, it's just eye strain.  I've been working on the computer much more lately than I have for a while.  Plus I just started a new job.  So...eye strain.  Sure....

Nothing Wednesday except shadows.

Then BAM last night I get slammed.  From zero to shoot me in about 2 minutes.  Shit.  I hope the meds work this time.  Going to the doc today.  I moved, and it's a new doc.  I'll have to explain this crap all over again.  Maybe he'll listen.

<fingers crossed>

welcome back, peteyg....

make sure you print out information for your new doc... educate him or her so you can get the help you need....
get some oxygen (see button on left) from the doc - it works for many CHers to abort a CH attack...

good luck, and stick around for some wonderful support from the great people here!

Hey, thanks everybody.  My spirits are still up.  At least I know what's going on, and I know it won't last forever (it just feels like it will).  I'm agressive, and will be jumping all over this.

I printed the info out, and will be taking it with me.  It is truly sad that we have to educate our Dr's on this (and other things....let me tell you about rying to get help for CDH...)

I've lucked out a couple of times, but I know it's a crap shoot.

On the plus side, I've been cigarette free for 2 years, 10 months, 3 weeks, 11 hours and 8 minutes (according to my quit clock).  And, my baby girl just graduated to the Two's classroom last week (3 months early!!).  Always a good side to everything Smiley
