What would you do if somone stole all your pain meds ? It happen'd to me and I just realized it......I'm so freaked out rite now I don't know what to do......it's pain meds for my back I don't abuse and only take 3 to 4 times a week to get by. A freind of many years brought his girlfriend over Sunday and I'd showed her sum worming med I use on the dogs cuz they have one of my pups now about 6 months old. She's someone of a looser.....but..I trusted her. I had my pain meds stashed in my dog med cabnet and glanced in the cabnet and seen them in the corner and ran to the other room for a minute not thinking she'd steal anything or even know what they were esp since they were hidden. When I came back she was standing by the cabnet with her coat and thought that was odd......I jus noticed there gone......I had about 80 stashed cuz when I get flareups I need them BADLY. I'm so hurt and so upset anyone would do that.....no doubt she took them either. Hopein I can get my refill soon.....but it doesn't make what she did feel any better......takein someone pain meds that needs them is a crime to me......the lowest.......what would you do Pam
I'm so upset rite now I jus gotta git a grip......hadn't touched em since Sat. but there were in there Sunday before them people left.........................FUCK me !!!

I'm never gonna be able to sleep now.....shit !!!! What a fuckin LOW LIFE...........she is back in Ohio livein with her boyfriend that brought her over a few times.....she don't work or nothin. She's stayin with him and he's at his mom's I guess. She musta seen the meds label and zoned in on what her plan was and why she went to get her coat and continue to stand around my cabnet even tho it was at the opposite end of the room where the guys were. I can see what her plan was now. Fuckin bitch...........this is the lowest ever !!!! Pam that is very destraut rite now

The only thing you can do is tell the man in question. He won't believe it, for addicts can be very plausible. But it may give him an extra signal that she is not somebody to be around.
Hope you can get your prescription filled real soon.

How awful! There is something so bad about having someone in your house who then abuses you.
I think the others are right and that you won't get them back, so focus first on getting some more.
On a personal level, I would want to make sure she knew I knew. I would ring her and say that you are sorry she has such a problem that she has to steal drugs, and say that you hope she gets the help she needs soon.
I would also tell the boyfriend only that he is welcome at your house but she isn't. If he inevitably wants to know why, say that she obviously has serious problems and ask him if he is aware of them.
If he isn't it depends how good a friend he is how you react. If he is a really good friend, I would just say that you are 100% convinced that he has either a drug or a money problem and that he should try and talk to her.
That way you may not lose him as friend, which you surely will if you confront this head on and he loves her.

Coots, I'm sorry he has got mixed up with such a low-life and hope his rose tinted spectacles fall off soon.

on another note, I use pain meds for my neck, and I had my purse stolen with 60 of them in my purse! I just went into my doctor told him the deal and he didn't have a problem refilling them...give it a try! Good luck!

Thanks guys........man I am so depressed..........never had anyone do that to me before and so sneaky and rite under my nose !!!! It jus knocked me into a big state of depression. Um.........Brad is goin to go talk to the dude........he's almost like a father tho this guy......which is anuther reason it hurt even worse cuz now we gotta stir up sum shit rite when this guys life is goin half way decent rite now and it's been really rockey. Got a feelin he will knock the shit outa this chick if he thinks she is lieing tho (not Brad.........even tho he wants to).......she's the lowest life on earth I know doin this to me. I'm tryin to get a new script if I can get one refilled this soon to have on hand.......esp now since my back is flarein up bad I need them the most for a session at least then back off a while as I always do. GAWD am I depressed I trusted her.........Pam that's not a druggie but sure needs help at times

Coots...I also take pain meds & I "lost" mine some time ago...Do yourself a favor. If you've used the same Doctor for a while & you never call meds in early...explain to the Doctor what happened. More then likely he'll/she'll give you another script. Probably with a lecture on how you should keep them locked up. & stay away from that Bitch....
If you have to call the police to get your script refilled...Do it. This person obviously needs help
I get real pissed when addicts screw people in pain like this. I take it to stop the agony of a previously broken neck & someone steals my drugs to get high for an hour or two.....

I would make it plain to her that she is no longer welcome in my house, explain why without directly accusing her then go to K Mart and buy one of those heavy duty lock boxes for your meds.
Been in the same situation only it was a family member that did it. Made it a little more complicated.

If your copay/cost is high, file a report with the police, then with your home insurance (it covers theft)....

Tell you Doc what happened and maybe he will help with some refills, but my experience is people like this thief have ruined this because the Pharmacist all think we are "drug seeking".
