Hopefully you are. I just did a search and found your response to a post I did back in 2000 regarding job related discrimination. At that time I was on administrative leave pending action which would probably terminate my employment. Here is what happened...I was "involuntarily separated and placed on disability", what that really means is that they fired me, as there was no pay or responsibility for anyone "involuntarily separated and placed on disability. I filed a greivance through my union, a second or third charge of discrimination and retaliation with the EEOC. I won the greivance and was returned to work, the EEOC made a finding, "It is probable that discrimination and retaliation had taken place." The Justice Department opted to not prosecute the City and the EEOC gave me "My Right to Sue" letter. As of now, the federal lawsuit is working its way through the system, I am still working as a City employee, but the City is not happy with me. The investigator that was assigned to my case warned me that most people who do return to work at the previous employer do face ongoing harrassment, so far he was right. The suit that was filed is asking in total for 1 mill, I'm ready to settle for 200 thou. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I'll do better in the future.
