Hey Kids. I am an old ch.com board veteran recently back after a few PF years. Back with a vengence. Back with Biblical - Old Testament - White Light - Philisophical Pain that we know so well. Minimum Kip 8's every night and up to 4 weird half shadow, half ch 20 minute zappers during the day. I am (like all of you in an active cluster) wiped out. I am afraid to make appointments, inefctive during the day and all of it. Q: Has any one heard of getting disability from this disorder?

Hey Swiftlaw.... Sorry to hear the 'beast is back'. Just sending my condolences since I'm 'feeling' the beast again after 2 yrs. Hopefully I can catch it quick with some mega-verapamil. The disability thing.... yeah if you have 3 pf yrs, don't waste your time trying to fight the system; it's not worth it. Just a note: (After 20+ yrs) My last cycle, I discovered 360 mg. of Verapmil twice daily broke my cycle. I have NEVER EVER had anything work this well at breaking my cycle. And .... as the saying goes, what works for one, doesn't necessarily work for others. Good Luck my friend!

I was deniged after being chronic 3 years years at the time. Nothing was effective for me. I applied for disability for ch and depression. I got the disability for the depression. They seemed to think that being in the er 8x a month and missing tons of work and not being able to function due to ha was a cause for disability. Glad I put depression on there as well. I wonder what would have happened if I would have said cluster migraine or some term like that. hmm just a thought. I was approved first try. Been on it for 5 years now. I am looking to go back to work since I got them under control with duragesic patch. Good luck to you.

There is a such thing as temporary total disability, but best to seek the expertise of an attorney for help.

If you file for it they will delay your application for every little reason da da da. Most Lawyers won't take your case until you have been turned down twice. About 2-3 years. You will then go before an administrative law judge. There will be a guy from the state there to give his opinion to the judge. Then you will wait about 6 months to hear the judges ruling, all this time they are hoping you will die so they don't have to pay. If the judge rules in your favor it takes 4-6 months for SSA to get you in the system. If they owe you back pay plan on 24-36 months to receive that. Keep in mind if you die during all these waiting periods no one gets anything. That's the system, been there done that. Just be prepared to put up with more bullshit than you can imagine. Lee
