Finally going to the doc tomorrow...

Unfortunately I'm still uninsured so I'm "forced" to go to a "free" clinic about 45 min from here. NOT looking forward to it. I have Clusters chronic for over a year now, tried many prevents and aborts.....the prevents I was on were Lithium and Verap, was still working on finding the right dose when we moved. I have yet to find a working abort, tried O2, imitrex tabs and quick tabs, zomig nasal, maxalt quick tabs, migranol nasal, DHE treatments, and occipital nerve blocks, staydol nasal, and can't remember what else, I know there's more.....gonna do the alt treatment when I can afford the supplies. I also get migraines. I am still experiencing those "weird" new symptoms.....mainly the numbness/tingling in my last two fingers of my right hand and last two days my pinky in my left hand (weird that its even on my left, I can't remember the last time I ever had any ha or pain in my left side.....years and years ago) I explained alot of those "weird" symptoms in my numbness/tingling thread. They really concern me. ESP being unisured and without a doc I "know". My grandpa had CH and later an anuerysm (did not kill him). Don't know if that should even be a valid worry for me. I read all the info everyone gave me on the other thread, I don't know what to think. I really don't think it's migraine stuff, I've had migraines since I was a teen and never had these symptoms, but hopefully it's just that "simple". I'm in a bad state of mind lately, hate how I feel (emotionally) Just feeling depressed and anxious and I hate it. Trying my damnest to stop it and get in a better frame of mind and being. Wish me LUCK for tomorrow and thanks for hearing me ramble.

Thanks Jean...btw how have u been? OK here's what happened at the doc today. She was great, very nice. She is putting me back on Lithium and Verapamil. Also trying Replax as an abort. Anyone get good results with Replax? I'm also getting another Occipital Nerve block when I get my appt with the pain doc. Also some physical therapy for my sore muscles, not really needed but will feel good anyways. Now as for my other symptoms. She is concerned about me possible having #1 MS, #2 Lupus, or #3 Lyme disease. She seems to be thinking MS, scary. My sister has MS, but extremely mildly thus far. I'm gonna get a MRI. Plus gave a whole sh*tload of blood today.

I'm so glad you finally got to the doctors, I was wondering how you were getting on. It sounds very scary getting hit with a load of possible names like that... hopefully the blood tests will show something up quickly for you. Let us know how you are getting on, hopefully you will get answers asap Helen

Let us know how things progress, sweetie. Yes, alot of it sounds kind of scary, but it's good to find out what's going on. You can't treat what you don't know about. I'm glad you're getting all this dealt with. Huggs and good vibes to you!

You're sure having a time of it - poor kid. Better though to get the tests done and find out what this is or maybe better still, what it isn't. Hang in there girl - and like the others have said, keep us posted. Hugs Carol

my best wishes are with you also Taraann (and for what its worth, weird things do come into the CH mix all by themselves - Im having opposite side pains & phantoms about half the time and this week Ive had numbness in my hands & fingers - dont remember these from previous 28 years but thats not to say I havent had before - anyway Im sure its just part of the winding down as Ive been averaging 3-4 days PF between attacks for a couple of weeks now, since Ive been on the water) It may all just be part of the unpredictable nature of the beast - try not to worry, but easier said than done I know keep strong CC
