Yes, it has happened. There are a few posts about it in the past.

Yes, it can happen.

I used to have 6 month cycles (with 6 month breaks).  My cycle that started in Sept 2001 went for 13 months... became chronic.  Then my CH became 'silent' meaning I was getting the EyeBurn, EyeWater, LeftNoseBlock, and Shadows but no full-blown pain (happened for 5 months).  Then in April 2003, they returned full-blown.  They went on for 18 months... until now... now I'm totally off meds, have only had 2 CH's since Thanksgiving (days that I had wacked sleep schedule).  I still get the EyeBurn, EyeWater, LeftNoseBlock, and Shadows but no full-blown pain.  I guess it's not a complete remission, but some chronics can go back to being episodic.

I have had CH for 27 years. Sounds like a long time I was 12 when I got the first one. I use to get cycles 3 times a year. Then it went to twice. Now Im at once a year. It was like clock work I know when they were comming. Then just one season I skiped. Then a couple years later skiped the second season. Now Im in the December, Jan, Feb. So between now and Feb 6 weeks of hell. But to answer your question it happened to me. laugh
