Different people may have different triggers.

Most CH'ers say that alcohol will trigger an attack within minutes.

Too much Histamine will trigger a CH.

I'm sure there are other chemical triggers

I'm a chronic, so I don't need triggers - the HAs come no matter what. (If I am in one of my "cycles" I can't drink at all. Otherwise I can drink.) If I bend at the waist for too long - it's a trigger. If I sneeze too hard- trigger...I never know... Undecided

Triggers are a tough one. For me there were none. Alcohol and MSG seem well documented. Everyone has a different story when it comes to triggers.

I wish I had something more specific for you.

Good luck and let us know how you are doinig.

i really beleive that all attacks are triggered by something. sometimes the trigger causes what i call a (series). everyother hour for a period of time. after 10 yrs. as a chronic, then 3 yrs. in remission and now their back, i've learned to pay attention of evrything around me during an attack/attacks. just this week while on a fishing trip on the gulf of mexico flats i got sunburned around the face and neck. that night and the next day i had several attacks. no doubt in my mind it was due to the sunburn.

ALCOHOL (any type) Red wines for sure

Processed food (lunchmeat, cheese, hotdogs, etc.) MSG

Heat is a HUGE trigger for me, including exercise which some say helps them

Most things they tell ppl to avoid for migraines, I avoid during a cycle.

Lying down with my head at a angle with my head near my chest

SLEEP ( oh yes, we are not allowed to sleep during a cycle ~ it will precipitate a h/a) haha   laugh

Talking on the phone, if you get worked up.

Red stuff, licorice, red food coloring.....

Just to name a few of mine.
