Beast trying to sneak back in.

Shadows have been steadily increasing.  I see my neuro on Oct. 14th.  I'm wondering if it would be wise/unwise to up the Verapamil til I see him.  I'm terrified it will come back.  This time of year has always been the worst of my cycles.   Cry  Janet

Can't you call and have his nurse talk to him and find out if you can up the verapamil?

It's also a great idea to call the neuro's office every morning and see if there are any cancellations so you can get in quicker. I guarantee there will be at least a few cancellations before your appt.

I've been known to up my own Verapamil til seeing the doc, but have never gone over 480 mg/day on my own.  Don't know what dose you're on, but if it's less than 480, you're probably safe increasing a little to see if it gets you through the weekend more comfortably.

I'd sure be calling the nurse on Monday, if the shadows are still increasing, though.

Hugs,

I did call the doc's office yesterday and he did up the Verap...he only had me on 120mg to start. He added another 80mg.  He said he was being cautious to start since I never had this med before.  Feelin ok this a.m. but we'll see how the day progresses.....Thanks! J  Smiley
