New to the Site....Lee in Hartwell

Hello everyone, I've had migraines all my life, since about high school and college.  A few weeks ago I had another one of my brain busters, always starts over my left eye and feels like someone shoving a javelin into my forehead.  Since then, I've had almost daily headaches but they come in quick bursts, go away, then come again a few minutes later, always without warning.  Can anyone help me? Been to the eye doc, family doc, and now the ENT, and nothing.  What's going on? Thanks guys

Hi Lee, so sorry that you are suffering.

From the little bit you wrote it doesn't sound like clusters.  There is a link to the left for a cluster quiz.  Take the quiz and see if you match the results.  Some headaches that mimic clusters ARE very treatable.  Clusters are not, as you can see from the message boards.

Hope this helps.

btw see a neurologist for headaches.

Go the the OUCH site (left). There is page which will help with the Dx.

Consider getting this book:

HEADACHE HELP, Revised edition, 2000; Lawrence Robbins, M.D., Houghton Mifflin, $15. Written for a nonprofessional audience, it contains almost all the material in the preceding volume but it's much easier reading. Highly recommended.
