Anyone had any joy with KFC?

Hi All, A newbie here - I always thought that I had really bad migranes until my brother told me about CH. Reading the stories on this site is like reading my diary (if I had one). On the kip level, mine are around 7-8. OK enough rambling - a few years back I had a CH come on as I was ordering KFC (the shadows and the feeling of impending doom - you know what i mean). I guzzled down my salty fat laden fries and pepsi and jumped in the car with my wife rushing to get me home. We were no more than five minutes down the road when the CH just left. I've only ever been close enough to a fast food outlet one other time (McDonalds) and the same thing happened. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I thought it might be the salt - so at home i've experimented with a table spoon of salt in a glass of water. (Don't laugh, I know you've done worse!), but that didn't help. Next time I might nuke a potato in the microwave oven and see if there is something in potato. Anyone had anything similar?

Mad Mat Guzzling down food with an attack brewing? I don't think so. Last thing I feel like doing. Guzzling down caffeine I do think so. Have a look at the archives! Wendy

What about the Secret Blend of 11 Herbs and Spices (TM)?? Some of the secret flavorings would probably make things worse - MSG hits the NMDA/glutamate neural receptors, which are already over active in clusters. DSG and DSI also increase the activity of MSG, and they are added to a lot of prepared foods. Salty foods trigger migraines in some people, don't know if affects clusters. Quote:Disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate do not contain MSG, but work synergistically with free glutamic acid. When disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate are found on a food label, consumers can be fairly certain that the labeled product contains some hidden processed free glutamic acid (MSG). Disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate are relatively expensive food additives that would not be cost effective if they were not used in the presence of MSG.
