I went to the doctor a few days ago for the usual cluster headaches. He noticed fluid in my right ear. This is also the same side I get my headaches. Has anyone ever asked their doctor to check for this or is it just a coincidence?

With all the swelling and fluid drainage that accompany a cluster headache, I am not suprised that some people might get an accumulation of fluids in the ear.

Happens to me a lot. Last time went to the doc b/c I thought I was getting an ear infection and the doc said it was strange because I only had the fluid in my ear and no other signs of infection.(on the side of my last HA) I sometimes get ear infections with CH.

I too have tremendous ear pain. Seems to be worse when I'm in remission or between attacks when I'm in a cycle.....or maybe that's the only time I notice how bad it is!? I haven't found anything to relieve it yet. Tips on that would be kewl!! Kim
