I had my first bout with CH almost exactly two years ago, during which I had a CH once a day at around 3 am for about 2 1/2 weeks. My CH began recurring two nights ago, but last night, for the first time, I had two CH in one night (2 am and 6:30 am). Any thoughts on whether I can now expect multiple CH every day?

That answer has a lot of variables, such as what kind of meds are you on, how far are you into your cycle. I don't think that one can say with certainty how many HA's your going to get per day. I've had one a day and up to 7 or 8 / day. Sorry if this sounds like a bummer... John

Hard to say. Usually, I start a cycle with one headache per day, and add another every few days. For me, not unusual to have 4 or 5 per day at the end of the cycle, with the bastards creeping into the waking hours. But everyone is different, and your pattern might change or stay very stable.

No one can tell you exactly. No two sufferers are exactly alike and the beast mutates and re-invents himself in some pretty cruel ways sometimes. I started out with one a day and went up to 6 - 8 per day for a couple months. A taper of prednisone knocked that down to 3 - 5 per day. Nothing else has touched it since. I am in my first "cycle" but it is going on 10 months now. Hopefully the double hit was a fluke and your cycle remains a short one. Have you read all the info in the links on the left? Some real good info there. Gator

My reply cant really be based on Meds, Since my "bout" with the doctor comes again tomorrow, but mine were similar. My first cycle was always, from almost the minute, 2 hours from when i fell asleep. Now its 2 hours from when i fell asleep, and 2 hours from when i go BACK to sleep. I can usually expect atleast 2 attacks a night, unless the first registers really bad. I Also find that on rare, RARE nights, If i have an attack before I go to sleep, the chances of me not waking up are increased greatly.

You can expect to get hit when and as many times as the beast wants to hit you. Sorry, but that is just the way it is.
