Passed out or just exhaustion?

some mornings i have come into the living room to check on marc and found him hunched over in his pain position. Its not till i get closer that i can hear him snoring! I usually move marc into a more comfortable position and when he wakes up he has no recollection of having a bad attack or even falling asleep. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

It usually happens when he has hardly had sleep - it just doesnt make sense that he cant remember! Maybe all the meds he is been on over the past 3 years have given him short term memory loss!

Hmm, cant help you in that part. You should see a doc about this. I dont mean to scare you but i've read you had an appointment soon, dont be afraid to ask the doc. Ronny.

we are going to see dr goadsby in november, he is supposed to be the best bloke in this field. i will have to ask him. There is no point asking our GP anything - they havnt got a clue about ch and are really unsymphathetic towards marc. ive found that with most doctors/consultants - if they dont understand something then they get all funny with you!!

You dont think the memory loss is connected to all the weed he is smoking? Think again.

could be but unfortunately marc has trouble giving it up. It helps to keep him calm but he keeps getting chest infections as well - thats definately due to the weed. Ive tried speaking to him lots of time but its a bit hypcritical of me because i smoke 15 ciggs a day to keep me sane! I will bear it in mind don - the doctors know he smokes it so hopefully they will let us know.

Sometime, I will be so exhausted, and have been getting the HA's so long I will wake up confused and not remember having a HA unless I stop and think about it. Typically the HA's that I forget are mild ones that are just bad enough to wake me up and are gone quickly. Marcs forgetting is probably a function of exhaustion more than anything else. Best Wishes

My first couple of cycles involved amnesia. I would not remember anything from about one to two hours BEFORE the hit started. Then I would get hit. Then I would go into a comatose like state for about 45 minutes to 2 hours. I could not be woken up. Even in the hospital, they tried, but I would not (or could not?) come out of that state. So in total, I could have a period of 5 hours that I would have no recollection of. This was very difficult for the doctors to diagnose me, as I would have no idea of what I was feeling. They could only go on what they saw, during a hit. For a while they called them a seizure. Then they decided I was making the whole thing up, and that I was crazy. Henceforth, for the next six years, I was treated as a crazy, that was trying to get attention, because, (I can CLEARLY remember the neuro saying this) "Nobody can have the pain, that you pretend to have, and not have something show up on one of our tests." - - And that was from a DOCTOR!!! A Phd! (Piled Higher and Deeper) Chuck

| I have alot of friends who smokes weed and I've seen this before. I wouldn't worry too much about it but I would have it checked out a.s.a.p. anyway. Did he ever got a CT scan or such? Robert

The first thing they did was a CT - nothing showed and then they did an MRI - again nothing showed. It doesnt happen very often to marc but we will def mention it to dr goadsby. Marc surprised me yesterday - he is going to cut down on the weed and then give up! I better start praying to god for more strength as soon im going to have to support an extremely stressed out Cluster head!
