Don, No help from ER. I don't think that they are trained for these kind of emergencies. They managed to contact this young Neuro who offered me to spend the night on Morphine I.V. That's when I got . Another good reason to inform people about CH. In my book (now that I know more about CH), he should have considered giving me O2, an injection of Imitrex or other, or even a spray. I was to upset to even think about discussing it with him. I just wanted to ge out of there ASAP. Should I have been more prepared? ...Maybe! I think I'll be posting my experience at the ER, so Clusterheaders (and poeple who support them )know more about what to expect from ER. I would also like to get inputs from others on their experience. Robert (and feeling a lot better today with the Migranal. But that's another topic)

The last time I went to the ER, they stuck me in the corner to wait ....5 mins later they were chasing me down the hall slippin on the tears and nasal discharge. I was a screamin it was no problem. My wife took charge told the dick doc to give me the Imitrex then the demerol. It is my opinion that ER docs dont have a clueat they are dealing with . This is from many visits over the years, one nurse give me DHE, them as I was gaggin and wretchin she lolligaged around the treatment room looking for the phenegren all the while I couldnt breathe at all. Once again my wifey took charge and called the doc in to get me breathin again. She is so cool

| Robert, your post must be the hardest on this board to respond to. Most of us have been in the grip of these things and can relate. Still, a 36 hour and still going??? event has to feel devestating. I don't even have a handle on it...what it must be like. Try to keep drinking water ...you have reached a duration point where you need to be careful to keep fluids. Dude, I would have waved the white flag at the nearest demerol stand if it was me. Don't be afraid to admit a lost bout and do that. I can't believe ER wouldn't get you to at least a state of comfort. Go to another one and ask your physician to call them. Knock yourself out man. We will all be here to hear what happened. If none of the above is good advise for you for whatever reason -- then accept my thoughts and wishes for a conclusion which will surely come. The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens. -Arnold Schwarzenegger

Thanks Pat, I'm out of my 36 hours. I finally found some Migranal and it did the work. But this is the first time that I had one last this long. My oooouuuucccchhh message was to express what it feels like to go over board. Hope it never happen again! After 24 hours a relative quietness (skip 2-3), it started again 4 hours ago. And frankly, I'm scare shit! I don't know if I can take the Migranal again. The Rx says don't take more then 6 sprays a day (I took 4 yesterday) but the instructions inside the box says don't take more then 6 a week. What the F…! The only thing nice right now is that I'm able to come to this site and find some help. You guys are doing a great job! Robert
