I HAVE AN APPT WITH MY NEURO TOMORROW. I'M PRETTY NEW TO THE SITE. 36 YO FEMALE...HAVE HAD THESE TERRIBLE THINGS FOR 10 YEARS. SAW THAT LITHIUM WORKS FOR SOME FOLKS, THOUGH I THOUGHT IT WAS A VALIUM??? BUT I WAS WONDERING IF THERE ARE ANY USERS ON THIS SITE THAT CAN SHARE ANY SIDE-EFFECTS THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD WITH LITHIUM? THANKS!

I used lithium for 2 years and had no side effects at all from it. It was a wonderful med to be on. Problem was it quit working for me after a couple of years.

I took 900 mg a day for awhile (twice) and really don't remember any real side efects. Didn't help my clusters tho. Also had to have many blood tests to regulate the amount of drug in your system. (Don't wanna become toxic ! )

I have been taking 450mg per day along with 360 mg of verapamil per day.
I have no side effects at all, and it really helps my headaches alot since christmas.

I attempted it twice Moochie but I stopped because it made my skull skin twitch uncontrollably and it made me nastey LOL. I've been askin around if anybody wants it but haven't had any volunteers yet.
It does work for some here but not for others. What ever you use I hope it works for you.
