Remedy for clusters starting on left side first

I have had cluster headaches for 5 years and have tried everything. They often start on left side and sometimes travel over to the right side as well. I have recently tried a homeopathic remedy called Lycopodium Clavatum 30ch. It works within one hour. But it only works if your cluster starts left and then sometimes or everytime heads to the right.

| ??? Clusterheadaches are unilateral headaches - on one side. They occasionally jump from one side to the other, but I haven't heard of a cluster 'heading to the right.' If it starts on the left, it probably heads left and down as spreads on the trigeminal nerve. A 30ch homeopathic dilution contains zero Lycopodium. Zero. It is a dilution of 1 part lycopodium /1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 parts water (or whatever carrier is used). Being statistically generous, if you had an ounce of that preparation, the odds that it contained any Lycopodium would be around one in one hundred thousand.

| Hi Curtis, and welcome. Although it is rare, I've seen my hubby's cluster switch from one side to the other, mid-attack. That only ever happens for him at peak of cycle, though and then, maybe only 3 times in the 18 years I've been with him. It will switch sides from one cycle to the next, but it is more commonly on one side. If your homeopathic mix is aborting your attack in one hour, I'd think it's just the attack ending normally on it's own. Clusters don't last much longer than that on average, unmedicated. What other meds have you tried? Have you tried oxygen as an abortive? It's highly effective.

Doesn't sound like CH or CH meds to me. I've had clusters almost 16 years now and have never had one "head for the other side" during an attack. Unsolved PS. on Jul 8th, 2004, 2:19pm, Curtis_Russell wrote: It works within one hour. |

Any cluster medication that takes an hour to work is moot. And if your headaches travel like that especially DURING the headache you most likely do not have cluster's, or you are in a percentile of people that starts with a dot and has a whole lot of zeros behind it. Like the odds of hitting the powerball squared....

Sorry - but I'm also entertained. Never heard of a CH doing that. Kris

Curtis Sorry, but I agree with the others. Most CH attacks only last about an hour anyway, and since it is the worst pain known to mankind, we would consider an abortive that took an hour to work total shit and not worth bothering with. Wendy

Yes, it is VERY rare but I have had a few CH that have switch from right to left in about 60 seconds or so. I am primarily hit on my right but I have been hit very severely on my left (especially in the jaw area.) I am skeptical of homeopathic meds though. And it takes an hour to work????? That's not a CH.

| So it doesn't work if the headache goes right to left? How about back to front?

In all of the years that i have had clusterheadaches never have i experienced them switching sides. Also if something doesn't work within a few minutes from the time of application, i would tend to say that the ch just resided on it own. mine last only about 1.5 hours when at peak of my cycle. the rest of the time 30 to 60 minutes it the time span. doubt it works.

Floridian: Quote:A 30ch homeopathic dilution contains zero Lycopodium. Zero. |
| There is not a word of truth in it! 10 cubic meter dilution contains one molecule of Lycopodium Clavatum. What a snake oil!
