Hi Joshman I haven't seen this before, and it is certainly a novel approach to Ch education. Regrettably, after watching only a few minutes of it, there are so many errors in it I couldn't recommend it to anyone, nor have I the time to list them all, there are so many. Sorry. If they had done there homework properly before doing this and got it right, it could be fantastic. Wendy

I think that OUCH should write a simple script about clusters, what they are, who gets them, normal treatments, etc. Then at the convention they should video a different person reading one line of the script. Then have one of the video expert members put together this collage of clusterheads explaining clusters.

How the fuck can I view these files ??? When I click on "click" a popup pops up saying: "This page requires that you download and install a plugin, but does not specify which one." Can anybody give me more sensible information than this idiotic message does? Thanx, Ueli

Seriously folks. Why would you want to send something to friends, family or workmates which says that your personality type affects your likelihood of having CH and that lifestyle changes will reduce your attacks? and does anyone here get relief from Sports Rubs? I get enough shit from people who think they know all about Ch and tell me my 'headaches' would go away if relaxed more, gave up smoking, became teetotal, ate loads of fruit and veg, but avoided chocolate and citrus and exercised more without giving them something to read that seems to confirm this! I LOVE the approach, just hate quite a lot of what this link says. Just off to put my 02 and Imigran in the trash and buy some Sports Rub to rub on my head after I've been to the gym Wendy

I honestly agree with you on that point but the 5th link "THE STORY" can atleast make it clear to those who just think you can suck it up! I've sucked up broken bones, dislocated shoulders, herniated discs, a lot of other shit and I've sucked these bad-boys up for years until they started hitting me during the day! One thing to be exhausted from being up for a few weeks on and off due to these things... and another to have a meltdown in front of your clents/bosses/ students whatever!! People need to get that this isn't just a headache. Best, Eric on Jun 18th, 2004, 4:44am, pubgirl wrote:Seriously folks. Mixed feelings here, too The lifestyle-shit is crap. I started taking regular excercise, quitted smoking and after that started a real nasty cycle... On the other hand, the 5th link says it all. Marijke

They need to put it up in some format besides streaming video for those of us still in the dark ages. I'll never be able to see these video presentations with my slow-as$ed internet connection, but if they say what Wendy said they do, then I won't waste my time anyways. The thought that there is some personality trait or lifestyle issue that causes these things is ridiculous. The experts all agree there is NO known cause. We all have different personalities and different lifestyles. What could possibly be the common thread amongst us, besides coming here for help and understanding? Gator Sounds like bull$hit to me.

I Liked it. Yes there is some area for improvment however, there are some great points made. We ALL KNOW WHY they call these suicide HA. Death has been one of those after thoughts man I just wish I would die already. I think that it was at least trying to give as much info as it could. No I dont REALLY need my family telling me I need to run flat out for 20 mins to help stop my Cluster. Fuck Me I d die right there and who doesnt just love the smell of that man made Napalm ICYHOT GOOD VIBES BABIES!!

What was special on #5 was an experiment they did with 3 doctors. First they had a CH patient use electrodes attached to his scalp and then turn up the power until it equaled his CH pain. He stopped at #9 setting and said that was pretty close. They then attached it to the doctors and told them to crank it up to #9. One couldn't get past #6 before quitting. The other two managed to get it up to #9, but could not last longer than 30 seconds. The narrator then told them to imagine this setting for 1/2 hour - 3 hours. This was to demonstrate to the doctors that the pain really is that intense and not to make light of it or suspect the patient is a wuss.
