Helping or making it worse?

Saw my neuro the other day and he suggested upping evening topomax dose from 50 mg to 100mg and start taking melatonin. I upped topo dose to 75 and took 3mg melatonin night before and last night(figured I'd do it gradually). Last night was the worst night I've had in a long time......got a #7 or so just as I went to bed around 10, took a DHE shot, went away after 15 mins, went to sleep, woke up at 11 with a #9, took another DHE shot, went away after 20 mins, back to sleep, woke up around 12 with another HA, paced around till it went away, back to sleep, woke up around 1:00 with another HA, paced around some more and back to sleep and woke up again around 1:30 for a while. A real crappy night. I'll try the topo/melatonin thing one more time tonight, but if I get the same result, I'm giving it up......I was better off before. I don't need that kind of pain and frustration. Rich

Rich It sounds like your at the peak of your cycle now to me. Its pretty hard to fight the beast when he's on a tear. Try sleeping in a chair with your head elevated helps a little. Also I watch my diet closely when he's just waiting for the exuse to come out. I feel for ya, I lose many a nights sleep just out of fear. Hang in there hopefully they'll pass in a few weeks. Sean
