I had the block a while back and it worked like some sand castles I built trying to hold back the tide. There was 0 appreciable difference in frequency of attack, duration, or severity. In studies I've seen since then (they're around here somewhere) the results are pretty poor but it is used just in case it can help out on a long shot. Desperate times, desperate measures. Also, a friend of mine and sometime frequenter to this site has the Gamma Knife to no avail as well. 40 thousand bucks and the beast gave it the middle finger. I think he's on his 6th month after having the radiation and still no difference. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is the truth from my direct experience. FWIW--the procedure for the block is not really too invasive and hurts about as much as a bee sting. Probably worth a try. BOL, nots
