Hi Liz I don't take anti-convulsants at all, but I know that there have been some good results reported with gabapentin (same stuff). Like all things though, anti-convulsants do work for some, and not for others. Wendy

I was taking up to 2400 mg per day for anxiety. Yes, I posted earlier that it is known in some circles to act as a mood stabilizer or long-term relief for anxiety. I did not find anything from the medicine. No side-effects. I know it is sometimes (as other anti-convulsants) prescribed for CHs. Does nothing for me other than give me another orange bottle to look at in my medicine cabinet. -Freddy

Used to take 900mg daily for a non-ch issue but it wasn't helping so I stopped it. Then I started reading articles like this and I'm glad I did quit, check it out. Fuckin' crooks! http://www.citizen.org/eletter/articles/neurontin.htm Jim

I've taken neurontin twice. Once at a low dose and once at an extremely high dose. It did nothing for my pain, and I am one of the unusual ones who got a crapload of side effects with it. That med gave me more side effects than every med I've ever taken except 2. My mom takes it for RLS at 600mg a day and it works great for that problem, and she doesn't get side effects from it. I won't be trying it again though, that's for sure! Lizzie
