Anyone tried meditation?

I've had this cluster for about a month now. A couple days ago I tried meditating just as I felt a headache coming. It increased in pain for about 5 minutes, and then the pain subsided. Today I tried it again, but this time it was not at the onset, but right around ultimate pain. It was very hard for me to meditate at that time, but the pain went away after about 7 or 8 minutes. Has anyone else tried meditation for stopping a headache? I haven't read about it anywhere, but I haven't read about sex for stopping headaches either, and both methods seem to work for me.

It can't hurt but it didn't work for me. Some think the following is meditation. It's not unless you call strong attention to circulation meditation. I can't ignore that in your meditation you might have done so. Great. Here is the link: http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/ Charlie

Once I had such a bad HA..and nothing to abort it with. I got into the shower and just started to pray for death. Then I tried an experiment. I told myself that this pain felt "good" I was talking to myself and really telling myself that this felt "good" and was wanting more of it....yeah I totally confused my brain and the pain went away. I have tried that again and it never worked for me since

Sometimes it works, more with the shadows than an attack. I think if you're really good and focused with meditation you can travel through the pain. I know someone who is a meditation coach and she had a root canal done last year and meditation was her novicane. Fuck that!I say, but hey. The power of meditation. As far as sex goes,it seems to be a trigger for me when "in cycle" ....Mark..

I tried to meditate once during the pain as well, I couldn't focus long enough to channel the energy elsewhere. Ramon

Tried it during an attack. Worked fine until i put my foot through the TV. Seriously though, I dont exactly meditate but focus completely on the pain. I think that is what leaves me exhausted after the pain. All of my focus and energy goes into making it through more minute. a minute at a time.
