Hi all, I've been thinking for a while about a way to raise the awareness of CH and/or raise money for CH here in Ireland (Dublin specifically). It seems that now would be a good time to start doing this as it would give me a New Years Resolution (and I'm always terrible at deciding on those!) and it would highlight the fact that I'm not the terrible, heartless individual that some of my previously posted opinions would have led some of you to believe. My first question to you all is - if I'm going to raise money for this I presume I'll need to get some kind of clearance from the local authorities here. In order to get this I will need to prove that I am collecting for a registered charity and that I am authorised to collect on their behalf. Any ideas on how I go about this? Ken (The opinionated Paddy)

Why not just mug a leprechaun and take his pot-o-gold? Then sent it to Bob-at-the-end-of-the-rainbow-G. I’ll see that it gets to the right bank account.

I would ask Jayne. She just raised some money, maybe she can show you the ropes.

| Seems to me it would depend on what type of effort you are planning. Soon as Jayne gets out of prison she'll share some insight.

The laws in England and Ireland are very strict about fundraisers on the street etc. You have to get clearances and licences ETC. I think that is what Ken is trying to say. Mo said something about that on the OUCH UK board under my post, warning people about doing anything like I did on the streets of England. Hey Ken you could do a sponsored Potatoe Peel...did anyone say that yet? You could get news coverage for that. You know it could be the metaphor of "I'm peeling away at the layers of misery/pain" something like that anyway...use your imagination. This is great. Let us know..you will have my sponsorship when you come up with something. Good luck!!

Green beer poured over Lucky Charms......everyone gets a bowl and has ta count the now swelling marshmellows with yur nose. Then you have to eat the entire bowl in front of everyone without silverware. Call it 'Irish Fear Factor' Pam
