It's an internal thing. I can make my hands very warm. I got it the same day I tried. You try for arms, legs, or wherever. I wish I could explain it better but I don't know what else to say. 
You laugh kids but there have been several posts that said sex.....or other twisted practices help to end an attack. Kinda nutty but you never know.
