Tari, If the program jonny gave you doesn't help then take the virus name and go to symantec and look up the name, if a special tool is needed it will be there. If Norton doesn't know what it is go here to get the latest update, live update isn't always current, download the first file to your desktop, run it and you are up to date. Then if Norton doesn't know what it is I would send it to them, NAV has a button to do this. Opus/Paul

Quote:Opus ...get the latest update, live update isn't always current |
| Yes Opus, that is correct. My understanding of Norton's antivirus updates is that live update get's new definitions every Wednesday. If you want the current antivirus definitions then go to the second link Opus has provided above and download the file called 20031126-007-i32.exe (today it is that name) The first numbercode is the date (2003-11-26-Todays date) the second is the release number I believe (007)- the last separation deals with operating system type (i32 is windows 32 bit Operating system) (win98-winXP are 32 bit OS'es) After you download that file from http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-N95.html choose to save it to the desktop (easy to find )then run it (double-click it) and it will update your antivirus definitions automatically to the newest definitions available. Longhorn is a windows 64 bit operating system and so would require a different antivirus program (64-bit) and thusly would require a different antivirus definitions hash mmmmmm.....hassshhhh O know I know...who cares...lol Just thought it might be a point of interest for you all. Good luck with it and hope it helps a lil bit. Busy day today while I'm PF (as I get in a cycle) with earning a living, building 2 comps and an estimate...wooohooo I love this season for work! Catch up to you all later! Mikeyd
