Buddy, can you spare a server?

I'm soooo pissed right now!!! After borrowing money to purchase 2 computers and a PILE of books, I've had the rug pulled out from under me. After fighting for months to get financing, I was finally able to get a loan. Lets call that "Roadblock #1". It took a while, but I was able to get past it. "Roadblock #2" --- I'm having to work part-time never knowing how many hours I'm gonna get. At least with no REAL sleep cycle, I can study from 3AM until I go to work in the morning. But these roadblocks are small and insignificant!!! One of the Micro-Slop certification course I'm taking EXPLICITLY stated the hardware requirements for completion of this course include (but now painfully obviously, NOT LIMITED TO) one computer running Windows Server 2003 and one computer running XP-PRO. I went out and bought 2 systems. One with XP-PRO and one with XP-HOME, which I would be installing Server2003 on. "Roadblock #3" --- While purchasing these, I made sure to ask if I would be getting installation disks or just recovery disks. I was told that it would be no problem to get installation disks. Apparently, some salesmen will tell you anything to get the sale. I've since found out that it isn't company policy to give out installation disks. Anyways, because the version of Server2003 is an evaluation edition, after I'm done with the course (if that ever happens), I'll be stuck with a system with no operating system. (Guess I'll end up putting Linux on it ) "Roadblock #4" --- After getting started, I find out that the system requirements are wrong! Apparently some documentation specialist at Micro-Slop can't count. In addition to needing a pre-Windows2000 computer (luckily I have my old laptop --- hopefully it lasts), I now find out that I can't go any further without a SECOND SERVER!! I mean, REALLY! How many people just happen to have 4 computers kicking around, not in use? Apparently Bill Gates is a little out-of-touch with the finances of the average non-billionaire! I'm going to ask at work if there is any way I can get a loan that I can work off. I'm not sure that this is an option since they want me to work there forever, but are unwilling to give me sufficient hours to make a living. What better way to get me to stay than to stand in the way of my upgrading? Oh... just to put icing on the cake... In a few chapters, I'm going to need a SECOND internet connection. WTF? !!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/rant] grant

Leesa I don't think this is really a problem that they can help with. Its more of a financial problem. OR a problem with Bill Gates being a &^%^*&%$ thief. Thanks anyways. I didn't really expect anyone to answer --- more just therapeutic being able to rant, i guess. LOL grant
