This is my first visit here, and I thought you could just sit and talk with people about how bad and how often. I just want to talk about how I feel when I have one. I'm not like other ones I read about, but then maybe I am. I would like to talk when it hurts ???????????????????????????????????????

Welcome aboard, Tinyhuey, but sorry you have to be here. I am not sure what you mean about you just want to talk. A lot of us have formed friendships to the point where we call each other on the phone. Many of us go to the chat room here: http://headachesupportgroups.com/echat44/public/index.html There are usually people in there after 8 or 9 pm EST. If you have questions, or just want to vent or whine, many do so. There are usually people here 24 hours a day, so you should get an answer. How about telling us about yourself? Tell us what your headaches are like, how often do you have them, what tests have you had done, what medications are you taking or tried? Let us get to know you. This is a mb that sometimes gets a little fiesty, but like all families, sometimes there is some squabbling. Ignore it. There is so much love, concern and support here. You also need to read, read, read ... There is so much information available to you. Check out the buttons on the left side of your screen. Knowledge is power, and you will need all the information you can get to properly fight this afliction. Again, welcome aboard! Chuck

LOL........Ditto, Bob. It's those...don't touch me, don't talk to me, don't look at me kinda times. Welcome to the board, Tiny. There is usually always someone here to talk too. Lots of good information located on the left in the links. I have found my best info from the folks here on the board. It's interesting to see what works and what doesn't. We are all different. Hope you enjoy your stay here, and keep posting and let us know how things are going. Jean

Welcome to Clusterville.... sorry you're here, but glad you found us. Talk away - we're family and "know how you feel". We all handle our HAs different, but when it comes right down to it - we're here for each other. Tell us about yourself (we're a nosey bunch) - it helps to get to know you. Then we'll tell you about us. We're good for giving advice .. take what you need of it - it's free. Welcome to the family.... you're not alone anymore. Hugs BD

Good Morning and Thank you for a warm welcome. I'm scared to tell you how bad it hurts, because a lot of you would say maybe its not clusters.but if you could feel the pain you would know it is. Yes I know you all have terrible pain , it just seems like mine don't fit the profile of clusters. Mine don't stay for an hour or two I have had them last for days. Pain so bad you want to die, and yes I have thought of it.The only thing that keeps me here right now is raising my grandchildren and a WONDERFUL hubby who feels my pain too. I guess I'm not sure where to start or how to explain what goes on when they appear. Maybe in time and help from all the GREAT people on here I will tell you. I am like you.

Hi Tinyhuey, why be frightened that they may not be CH surely that would be a good thing....believe me if it's not CH then you should be thankful and happy, CH do not usually last for days...do you get a break inbetween the pain, I think it would help if you could describe your pain a bit more...is it onesided..?? what do you do when your in pain...?? Whatever kind of pain your in is irrelevant, people here are here to help you as much as they can...surely it's better to be correctly diagnosed...maybe you should seek a second opinion from a neurologist... In the meantime I wish you PF times...let us have a bit more information....maybe someone here can point you in the right direction... Cathy

Welcome Tiny! I can't add any more than all the others before me stated. But letting us know more about your pain can help us in understanding more about what you are going through. I agree with Cathy .. If its not CH, you should be thankful since most anything else is curable where as CH is not. Again, welcome to the family! ~April~

Cathy really took the words out of my mouth... I'd be ecstatic to find that I don't have CH! For me, each attack doesn't last longer than 2-3 hours, but I can get attacks back-to-back. If I may, I have a few questions... "Days" is a little vague...how do you sleep, or do you sleep? What do you do/attempt to cope? Have you been diagnosed yet? What tests have you had performed? What meds have you tried and which were successful if any? Other than pain severity, would you describe your symptoms? Have you taken the cluster quiz? Ok, that's all I can think of for now. There is no one here that doubts your pain, and no one here that can diagnose you. Wishing you PF times! Chris

You're in the right place, Talk, vent, curse, do what you must. If you'd like to talk face to face with others goto the CH chat around 9ish P.M.CST there are usually a few of us there around that time, if not, hang around a bit and someone will usually join you. Ramon

Welcome aboard and glad to have ya. Feel free to rant away, yak about CH or whatever strikes your fancy. One thing you'll find here is that we know exactly what this pain is like and what talking about...no need to worry. We have our fun and sound strange at times but once someone asks a CH question, we all get back on track. In fact you are likely to be bombarded with suggestions. Stick around and let us know how you're doing. Charlie

Tinyhuey, This is the place to find out if you have clusters or not and yes I will say I hope you don't have it. There are treatments but they stop working after a few years for most people and they have to find something else. Any type of surgery seems to make thing worse in the end for most that have tried it. For most the best they can hope for is to limit the attacks not stop them. So read, read and read some more. There is a lot of information here and at OUCH. We need to help our Doctors with the correct diagnoses and treatment as most haven't heard of CH. Opus/Paul

Hi Tiny or is it PainPainGoAway? Are you the same one I met in HSG chat a couple days ago?If you are then let me explain a comment that was made there,it looked as though you were heading for the old "my pain is worse than your pain" toppic and that just don't fly around here. Pain Sucks period. However, correct diagnoses is VERY important because the treatment for CH,CDH,CPH,chronic migraines, ect, ect are all going to be differant,so advice given for one is not going to be helpful for another. If you have CH then WELCOME to the board! If it turns out not to be CH then your still welcome in HSG chat http://headachesupportgroups.com/echat44/public/index.html All types of HA can be talked about there, although most who go threre are from this board and have CH. Several of us also have migraines too. Pain Free wishes to you no matter what kind of pain you have! BillyJ

Dear Friends, No I'm not saying my pain is GREATER than yours!!!!!!! Every one says theirs only last for an hour or so ,yes mine do too, but then there is days where the pain never goes away! It might not be as bad as pain when a super one hits, but it still pain.Mine come at any time day or night.Oh God it hurts,my head will explode. I was told my a doctor I have clusters and sense I don't have insurance, I deal with them the best way I can. Most of the time its just cry( if you can cause it hurts so bad) and then cry some more.I walk the floor if I can keep my head from moving, I cuss and pray to God to make it stop even if it means dieing!
