An update on family and Christopher

My sister’s biggest wish is that we all spend Thanksgiving together this year. We always spend part of the Christmas holidays together, but this year is different. With Christopher being so sick, I don’t think she wants to wait to be together, or to put off thanking God for what he gives us every day. So I am trying to bring together our family from OH NJ PA FL NY MASS TX, and Norway together. I am pretty sure my brother/wife/nephew in Norway will not make it to the table. We’ll see them next year, but hey .. that’s what Ma Bell was made for…to bring families closer together. A phone call will be made and make the family almost complete. All of my brothers and sisters will be accounted for (some already in heaven), but some of their sons and daughters will be missed. Those nieces and nephews will be missing because they are protecting our country. They will be prayed for by all at our dinner table. And hence the family will come together. My wish for you, is that you and your family can come together the way my family will this Thanksgiving. And for all of those waiting… here is another update about Christopher (I didn't attach the picture of Chris .. don't know how. If Jonny wants to post it, I can send it to him). Dear Friends and Family, Well, Christopher answered the phone when the hospital called with the results of his scans the Friday. He relayed the message to me....."all the tumors are smaller in size, both in my head and my body." HALLELUJAH!!! Needless to say we are happy. Because he didn't ask any more information (like I would have) that's all we know for now. The oncologist's assistant did say they will stay with the same chemotherapy treatment (and not go for a more aggressive one) because it does seem to be working. Thank God for answered prayer. We still do not know how long his treatment plan will be or if there will be any more radiation in the future (that we will know when the radiation doctor does a scan from his point of view in 5 weeks). While this is very positive news don't let up on the > prayers.....this is still a long way from being over. God still wants to hear from us fasting was such a blessing to us. Thank you to all who came and those at home, who prayed and fasted to beseech the Lord on Christopher's behalf. I left the church incredibly encouraged, leaving behind the cares I have for my son at the foot of the cross, where they belong. Christopher is feeling pretty good. He did have something like swimmer's ear in both ears from the radiation. Drops 3 times a day has relieved the pain there. His head is peeling like an onion from the radiation burns but actually doesn't hurt like it did. He is able to think more clearly these days and is busy doing graphics on his new computer. He is also able to read for longer stretches. Fatigue and lack of muscle tone are his two biggest problems. I let him vacuum and dust today to build up his biceps After that he had to take a nap. Fighting the cancer is his full-time job for now. He goes back in the hospital on the 30th for another 5 day round of chemo. All the rest of the family are doing well. Adam and Chris are into hunting season again, chasing the elusive deer. Katie, planning her next shopping trip, enjoying volleyball and friends. The school work for the younger two is back on track and I am enjoying each day the Lord blesses us with. I've attached a picture of Christopher from the hospital (this was after his lung biopsy) while he still had hair! Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." In His Steps, Chris, Maryann and family
