We all know our triggers, right. Ok so lets have em...
(not in any order)So lets begin  shall we

Z.A Dr. that leaves you hangin by not supplying enough Imitrex when they have been told that you require 12 mg of sumitriptan every 24 hours.Ok that was one of mine.
Y.B Remember no order required. Having to chase down another Dr. in order to obtain the amount of Sumitriptan
required to keep the beast at bay.OK
X.C These don't halfto be in order. No 02 or running very short of and the weekend is near, no one at the dispensing site is in until next week and the nearest tank might as well be 1000 miles.
W.D Driving the 1000  miles.  V.E Hearing "I never heard of o2 for clusters,is that something new."nope can't pay for that it's not covered under your insurance.

U.F Matches(sulfer)

T.G Bright flourescent lights that are about to burn out, You know the ones that are flickering and their in the headache clinic. What do they wan't to do trigger an attack so they can watch you inject yourself or what?

S.H Turning on the Bright Flourescent light while your in the room after you shut it off and turned on the dimmer.
(THIS COULD BE RELATED TO THE ANXIETY THING)I. I have an apt in a few hours and haven't been to bed yet as I'm still searching for answers so this will continue I hope, gota go now and get ready for the apt...Surf

My triggers (Chronic):

1. Laying flat on back
2. Cold wind
3. Anger
4. Sudden turning of head
5. CH "experimental" medications!

Honorable Mention:
(Not really a trigger, just seems so.)
Being somewhere I want to be without having to leave. The Beast is cruel in that regard.

(Many attacks without warnings or obvious triggers)

1. The change of temperature, Autumn/Fall.
2. Having others dictate a job for me to complete within their timeframe.  (Thank God i'm self-employed).
3. Midnight wakeup calls (unkown reason except Hypothalymus Gland and circadian clock).
4.  Alcohol (beer & Jack Daniels in particular)
5.  Medical professionals that ask questions trying to evaluate diagnosis while suffering and advising them of what I need.  They think they know everything, my last comment to them was "I gladly invite anybody here who knows more than me on this problem and will confidently bet their is not a person within 5 miles of here who does".
and on a separate note, here is what makes it worsen...
1. The actual waiting time and frustration affiliated with waiting longer than NOW for an ER or Quickcare unit to get me Imitrex or o2.
2. Light (darkness helps relieve)
3. Sound (total quiet helps relieve)
4. Being in the company of others (relief acts quicker if I am completely left alone.

My triggers... let's see now:

1. stress from uni projects (well, ch is more likely to accur when I'm stressed about something)
2. too much/lack of sleep
3. certain incense my flatmate uses (irritates the hell out of me!!!)
4. forgot to eat (low blood sugar)
5. bright sunshile (happend on a holiday, I wasn't happy about it...)
6. Pringles (thank God it happened only once! One must have some indulgences in life...)

That's it. But this list doesn't mean that everytime I'm hungry or whatever, ch will appear. The devil does whatever it likes, but those I've noticed.

PF days,

Surf, you're going to be sorry you ask this question but here's the list...........

The following is NOT to be taken seriously.......
A quick search, copy and paste and we have a list of triggers for clusters.
They were all posted at this site, some more than once.
Some are serious and some are….well…you decide.
I do not endorse nor dis-dorse any of them.

relaxing after being stressed
nitroglycerine tabs
sitting behind a woman who wore way too much perfume
Alcohol
paint fumes
citrus juices and products
smell of Clorox
the detergent section in the grocery store
good whiff of a citronella torch or candle
Fumes
changes in temperature (like being in the refrigerated aisle of the grocery store)
sun on my face
Computer screens
nutrasweet
body odor
chocolate
caffiene
chinese food MSG
cold wind in the face
Milk amd milk products, i.e.: cheese
During vigorous sex sessions at peak of episode
barometric pressure changes
walking into the dry air inside from running the heat and back out into the moist cool air
Driving on tree lined roads that cause the sunlight to be broken in patterns
drinking plenty of alcohol or smoking like a chimeny
a pattern of sleep loss
Orgasms
Hummer deprivation
aerobic exercise
getting hot
Sex - if I go a while without, and then get some
My Middle Child's patented "whine" !!!!!
Any story my mother-in-law tells
Smell of strong onions
Cold air blowing in my eye
time changes
Traffic Jams
rum
Rosie O'Donnell. Also makes me a tad nuasous.
prolonged periods of high adrenal stress
a very bad weather system
Peanuts (the roasted kind usually)
Red wine
Nitrates in hot dogs
WD40
4-6 8oz cups of coffee a day
odor of raw onions
trialkylamines
Sleep
Frozen Food department
repetitve motion of the shoulder
taking a nap in the afternoon
REM sleep
Take-Offs on commercial airlines

Hot baths, sauna's, steamrooms

Food.........
the dreaded new shower curtain liner.
RED 'Stuff', certain foods that are red, pizza sauce, etc.
Altocor 60mg (lovastatin)
Anger is an invitation to the beast
my boss (she never shuts up)
my boyfriend (he never shuts up)
Citronella candles
potato salad
Reglan
second-hand cigarette smoke

And the winner is  “Wierd as it may sound, Jello will do it every time”

My personal trigger………lack of stress.
