Another CH Poll...sorry jonny

Ok, here's my theory. I've only noticed this in the last couple of years, but looking back I think it may have always been the case. Reflux, indigestion. Whenever I get it I know a cycle of CHs is only a week/weeks away. I almost believe that the reflux comes after I ingest a lot of mucous, such as when I have a cold and during sleep it runs down the back of the throat (or lazy with a hanky lol). Which causes which I don't know. Is it the reflux that sets off the chemical imbalance required to have a cycle start, or is it starting anyway and the reflux is a warning. Or is it the mucous giving me reflux which gives me CHs. The chicken of the egg lol. It's probably just a mad theory, but I can guarantee that this is the case with me 100% of the time. Funnily enough when I was chronic at 16-17 I remember having the worst reflux problem for ages. It would wake me up because of the 'acid' (or whatever it is) trying to escape my stomach. I'm interested to hear whether you think it's related. I suffered for 17 years before I saw this connection so I'd also be interested to know if you get reflux at all. Cheers Joe

I normally get a cycle after an illness. I haven't noticed the reflux problem though.

Unfortunately, I've got the reflux problem... but thankfully I don't seem to have issues with the mucous. Been taking meds for my reflux problem for about three years. My CHs showed up years before this problem though. maggie

I have developed heartburn during my cycles, I guess I will have to take an acid blacker since I have no idea how much pain I really am in. No pain will keep me from sleeping now except a CH. Opus/Paul

Never had acid reflux nor can I point to anything like illness as a cause. Probably just to dumb to see it. I've had what we call heartburn. Everyone has. Drug companies love this because they sell millions of dollars of drugs for it. Not as many have acid reflux as they'd like. Bastards Charlie
