Cluster gals, this one's for you... I've moved this post up from Supporters' section from a gal who's pregnant and worried her cycle will hit in December. I've also told her that a lot of you have experienced remission during pregnancy - let's hope she's the same!! Sorry if her posts have appeared somewhere else (our weather is so nice here right now, this is the first time I've been inside to check the board this weekend!) hempgrl New Board Newbie Gender: Posts: 14 pregnant and suffer from clusters « on: Today at 10:51am » Quote Modify Remove ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- hi...its been a while since i have visited the site....i have been i guess what ya would call remission...i usually have my monsters visit me from december to march.....so i have been blessed the past few months....i am 5 1/2 months pregnant and worried what will happen should they start .....the stress of the headache what kind of affect it will have on my unborn child....my ob is not familiar w/ these at all ....any info would help

Most of the sufferer's here report that for some reason pregnancy deflects the cluster headache cycle. But be ready once you give birth with all the meds you can get your hands on. I'm sure that during preganancy you will do fine, nothing will touch that new life within you ... not even a cluster headache !!!!!!!!!! Relax, enjoy your pregnancy and the anticipation of a new one joining your family. It's a time for celebration not worry. PFDAN's to you and that new baby !!!!!

My experience has been that due to the hormonal changes during pregnancy, I did not suffer any cluster headaches. If you choose to breast feed your baby, your clusters probably will not return at all until you wean the baby. Relax and enjoy the wonderment of pregnancy. Wishing you the very best! Donna

I never had clusters while pregnant. Was blessedly pain free right up until birth with all three. However, directly following each birth i went into a cycle. Enjoy you reprieve but b-ware that the sudden change from pregnant to non-pregnant may trigger a nasty.......... Best wishes for a happy, healthy and pain free time for you and baby. If you encounter trouble, please feel free to e-mail me, anytime Well wishes, kim
