Question ??? I understand that no one has a clue as to why people suffer from CH and there was a post from a sufferer stating that she was in an accident and thats when it started...well Charlie was hit by an Ice Cream truck when he was almost 13 yrs old (he was riding a Bike) and he was laid up for almost a year (almost died),He broke his nose and received many stitches on his head (not to mention many broken bones) did anyone else that suffers from CH have any trama in their lifetime affecting their head? Just curious.....I guess I am trying to figure out why it happens to such a small part of the population. I am sure that some where in the web site is the answers that I am looking for but it is difficult for me to sit for a long period of time at the computer to search..... Thanks Chia

Chia, I wish we had the answers for you, but..... For years we've all been seeking the same thing you're asking. We've done hundreds of polls to see if anything pops up and so far we've found nothing to indicate that we have anything in common. Yes, some of us got hit on the head (accidents or whatever) and yes, some of us have blue eyes or whatever, but NOTHING concrete to indicate a commonality among us. We all want to KNOW why. That's why we formed OUCH - to raise money for research and hopefully someday to get the answer to that very question. Because until we find the answer to what causes CH, we'll never find a CURE. My best suggestion is to JOIN OUCH and get involved in it. Without help from Members OUCH can't help Members. Get INVOLVED!!!! Hugs BD

Head injuries have been discussed here a number of times. There doesn't really seem to be a pattern (unless those that say the had no head trauma just don't remember ). Myself, I had a severe concussion about 6 months before my first cycle. (not gonna discuss details --- in fact, can't remember if I have in the past ) grant

Hi Chia, No head injuries here. I've had accidents of various degrees but nothing requiring head treatments. I hit a deer on my motorcycle 12 years ago. I was wearing a full face helmet and my head was fine. I lost some of my knee cap and was on crutches for a few months but that was all. I did have severe asthma as a baby and was in an oxygen"tent" for a few months because of it......who knows??........ ...Mark..

Ditto I guess. Banged my head on a dashboard of a 1951 Packard when we hit a tree. I was 5 at the time but it wasn't serious. My CH showed up when I was 23 and when I was 45 went into....so far....a 13 year remission. Can't come up with anything significant there. Damn disease is like a deck of cards with no hearts. Charlie
