slowly getting my old life back...

Hi there everyone, thought i would share this for those who are in the place I was myself not too long ago. At the start of this summer I was down and out, got stuck in such a bad cycle I thought I was losing it. Thanks to the site and the wonderful people on the board I knew there was treatment, but was so afraid it would not work for me. After a very bad "good morning" cluster had some good luck at the dr's and neuro's office. I have been CH free for almost a full month now! Slowly I am getting back my old "normal" life I had almost forgotten I ever had... The first weeks were kind of a trial, couldn't believe I was actually keeping the beast under control. Gradually I started to believe I REALLY was and restarted some activities I thought I would never be able to do again. I am back in school again! And as for the biggest test: for the first time in three years I went breakdancing again this week and guess what? NO freaking HA!!! Got a bit soar in the musscles after such a long time though ;D That was the point I figured it CAN get better, it's just a matter of finding the right med in the right dose... so for everyone having a harsh time right now: all the information and support are right here, and there are ways to get ignorant dr's to listen... just keep reading and writing (asking) everything you want to know, HANG IN THERE folks, it CAN get better! wish you all PFDAN...

This is good stuff, and encouraging. Most folks who know me will tell you, back when I became chronic in '98 I lost everything, and at one point even lived in my car. My whole life went down the tubes cuz of CH. I am still chronic, but got better. JUst got my life back, back to doing what I love (music), and things are good. The beast is roaring hell at me lately, as I think he is jealous, like I am his bitch or something. I don't care if I am getting hit left and right (like the last 24 hours), when I am not hit, I am pluggin away. Started working today, and got hit shortly after leaving a post here. Bout a kip 4 for 40 minutes. Pissed me of, but not about to stop me. Yes, I went so insane I looped right back around to sane; but I am living again. Never give up, NEVER SURRENDER!!!!! Carl D
