TENS machines

Hi.  It's my first visit to the site, so let's hope I get it right!  My daughter has suffered for several years, and as she is a 'full-blown' adult, living far away, I have never seen her during an attack.  However, I know from her partner just how awful it is.

She manages with oxygen, but  I think 'manages' is the operative word.  I have recently bought a TENS machine to use on my back and have had some relief with it.  I've just spent about an hour scrolling through your site, but can't find any mention of this type of therapy.  Has anyone any views on it, and should I buy her one as a gift?

From what I've seen this evening, I'm sure that at least one of you will reply, so I thank you in advance.  What an amazingly great group you are!! Keep it up.  Iwill, of course, be forwarding your address to said daughter.

Thanks again - looking forward to hearing from you.

For never having seen a ch happening, you are a very understanding person for which your daughter is lucky.

Has she been diagnosed with ch?  We'd love to meet her and welcome her to our fold.

If you will look at the buttons on the left of this page, go down to "archives" and when you get there, find "search" at the top of that page.  Type in exactly with " in front and back such as "tens machine" and you will find several references.  Hopefully this will help.

I would think that this inquiry makes you a "supporter", so keep coming back as we have a supporter classification in the Message Board Topics.  You will find help of all kinds from fellow supporters.

Your daughter will find so many benefits from coming here that she won't believe it until she tries.

We're glad that you found us for yourself and for her.

Welcome aboard. Sorry anyone has to deal with this horror. It usually hits in the twenties or so.

Somewhere in the back of my perforated brain, "Tens" rings a bell but I have no idea what this is.

Good luck exploring here.

Stick around.

Anna,
welcome aboard!you have come to the right place to
 find help for your daughter.
I can see where a tens unit may be helpful for
migraines caused by problems with the neck, but,I would
NOT suggest trying it ON the head,at-home shock
therapy sounds pretty dangerous to me  Shocked
