Radio exposure in Ireland

Hi all,

I mentioned in a previous post that I would like to start some kind of CH support group here in Ireland (I live in Dublin) - possibly an OUCH Ireland if the OUCH guys feel it's appropriate and viable or something along those lines.  It's likely to take a while to set this up - so in the meantime I was going to try and get a CH discussion happening on the radio.  There is a station over here that covers a wide variety of topics in its primetime evening slot.  What I want to know is - if I can do the groundwork and find out if it's possible to get a slot - who should I contact to represent us?  I'd like to get someone who's been around a while and has experience of the support provided by CH.com and OUCH.  Any ideas would be much appreciated  Smiley

You've been bumped by Mr. Bump.  Sorry - but I'm keen to get this up and running as soon as possible.

Ken,
Have you contacted the OUCH-UK bunch?

They may have some members in Ireland already.

I'm game for being involved, though not an official representative of OUCH (UK) at the moment. Can offer advice on a few matters.

Certainly a good move to contact MOB as well though, as he's currently the only regular poster here officially on OUCH (UK) board. He might have access to info about whether UK charities can also have remit in the South as well, which could be one avenue.

Also check out the "where we live" pages here and there to see current Eire CHers.

Great idea.
