They're not clusters

I had my MRI on 7-15-03 and yesterday the doctor called me and told me there is a "suspicious" area that showed up on it. They think it may be a cyst. So my worries, I guess were all well-placed after all! Anyway, they are going to give me a re-ferral to a neuro-surgeon to see how he/she wants to treat it.

Sorry for the diagnosis, Mellowme. I got exactly the same diagnosis 26 years ago. He wanted to do exploratory surgery. I didn't like the guy and got a second opinion. You might want to do that. Just an idea. Charlie

Good luck MellowMe. While my doc was trying to figure out what was going on with me, he ordered a CAT Scan. The scan came back and they saw something in there he said looked like a lesion on my spinal cord. He then said I needed to go back for a MRI to get a better look at this. Talk about worry, worry, worry. Turns out it was nothing. A second opinion, or another MRI/Scan, is the smart move. Best of luck.

Thanks to all of you for your encouraging words--I never wanted to believe it would be something like that, but I will talk to my doctor about a second opinion for sure. Thanks again!!
