I'm new to OUCH and am having trouble posting to the guest book. So, tired of feeling like I'm outside looking in, I'm making this post to say Hi. I'm having my first full-blown cluster in 12 years, although in the last 35 years I've had about 20 episodes. This is the first time I've used Imitrex. It aborts the headaches but not the cluster. I had luck aborting a cluster 5 years ago with Amerge. I was touched by so many things that I read on this site. I laughed, I cried, I don't feel so lonely now. My first headache this cluster was an actual head-banger, and I felt so stupid and out of control--I was comforted to see so many references to head banging behavior. I like the jargon, although I think I need to call my CH the Dragon, not the Demon. Then I could do a Dragon Dance, be a Dragon Head, and occasionally breathe fire! Sorry, now I'm getting silly. I used my last Imitrex for my 7AM headache today, have been cutting each 10mg pill into thirds. I took half of a 2.5mg Zomig for my noon visit from the Dragon, then took the other half pill an hour later. I spent most of the afternoon in bed. The Dragon missed his 6PM appointment in my right temple, making me hope that the Zomig is breaking the cycle. So, now at 11:30, I'm sitting with a cold pack around my neck wondering if I'll have my usual midnight visitor. Tomorrow is a demanding day. I'm driving over 50 miles to a client site, and really can't forgo the money. So please send me light and energy for a PF day. Good night and thanks for being here.

Welcome Carla, Sorry that you need to be here, but it is a great place to learn. Wow, a 12 year remission! Too bad that it came to an end. Since it's been a bit since your last bout, have you ever tried oxygen? I found out about it when I first came here in January and it is a Godsend. Click on the top (sticky post) in the General Posts section for a ton of great O2 information. Take care BruceD
