Okay peeps, I need good vibes as my idiot family members have decided to have hurricane parties instead of evacuating. (You can all help me beat them all later for making me worry) So send all good vibes to the Texas coastline. Thanks, ~Juvy

Don't worry juvy, it's just barely a hurricane.....so they should be very safe. Might be a little roof damage, but that will be the extent of it. We threw a hell of a hurricane party for "Lily" last year. Threw up a big tent, shrimp and crawfish boil, buckets of margaritas.....they are fun, as long as it's not a category 2 or higher headed your way. Of course my group (being catastrophe adjusters), are always rooting for the storm to intensify.....strange bunch of people....

When I was stationed on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the locals did the same thing when hurricanes came by. Fret not, Juvy. They will survive. Vibes to your family! TomM

Hmm seems the house that Juvy helped build withstood Claudette just fine. My parents live in Port O'Connor. Dad says he has good video footage of the eye...I still want to know what he was doing outside. The neighbors had half their roof taken off and their water main is broke. The other neighbors lost their fence. A friend lost half their garage. Only damage on our property were the trees took a beating. So thanks all for the vibes.

Well juvy, before I got to read your post about the party you're re-posting about being ok.......which is great news. Living along the coast line during this time of year can get crazy.........none of us want the storm but we never wish it on anyone else either......bummer. Glad to know all went well for you and the family...good news to know. EDNA
