E-tank questions

I haven't used an E-tank that often (at home I have the big welding tanks), but I have been using it a lot lately because I've been traveling.  I was just wondering how long a normal tank usually lasts (generally speaking).  I know everyone's flow rates are different.....but, shouldn't they last longer than one evening?

I keep my reg set on about 12 lpms, but it seems like the tank empties so damn fast.  Is this normal, or am I sucking down way more 02 than I think?

How often do ya'll have to refill?

Hi Roxy,

E-tanks only hold 680 Liters, at 12 Liters/min you will empty it in about 57 minutes. I find an E-tank to be good for only about 3 CHs. The large welding tanks hold up to 8000 Liters I believe, or almost 10 E-tanks.

E-tanks don't last long.

Yep, E-tanks are good for about 3 HA for me. If I'm really lucky (and remember to taper off the flow rate once the HA is subsiding) then I can sometimes have enough for 4 HA's. However, I usually just leave it cranked up and just do 3. (I hate to try to change tanks during an attack!)

Take care
