This may be crazy but, is anyone aware of the possibility that Neurontin can actually increase the frequency of headaches? Tried to break the current cycle with two rounds of prednisone without success. Then started Neurontin. Took 600 m a day for about a week and it seemed, for the most part, to be working. as frequency of headaches decreased. Increased the dosage to 900 m, then 1200m and am now up to 1500 m per day. The frequecny of headaches has now gotten worse. Getting about 3 - 4 a day.

Neurontin seemed to alleviate attacks forme. The only thing I was aware of about it was that i was not aware of much of anything....anything at all.

I get it ... if you mean you were walking around in a fog. What dosage were you on and for how long? While on it, did you still get headaches.

900 mg per day. Yes I still got the attacks, but the cycle was less aggressive than past cycles. Can't be sure, but for me this medication seemed to help as preventative........ it's hit and miss and hard to pin down, but hang in there! If the attacks escalate and the Neurontin continues to be ineffective, ya might want to speak to doc and try something different. Good luck and well wishes***
