To all my fellow Canadians

Have a safe and happy Canada Day!!!

Some trivia for those who are interested:

Who was Canada's first prime minister?

Name the provinces and territories.

What province was the last to join the dominion?

What year and what prime minister brought the 'constitution' home to Canada?

What is the capitol of Canada, and what WAS the capital of Canada?

Who said:  Take off eh, it's a beauty way to go, hoser?

Cat

I AM Canadian (in the Molson sense of course Wink )

Sheila:  Time's have changed
Our kids are kids are getting worse
They wont obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse!
Sharon:  Should we blame the government?
Liane:  Or blame society?
Dads:  Or should we blame the images on TV?
Sheila:  No, blame Canada
Everyone:  Blame Canada
Sheila:  With all their beady little eyes
And flappin heads so full of lies
Everyone:  Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila:  We need to form a full assault
Everyone:  It's Canadas fault!
Sharon:  Don't blame me
For my son Stan
He saw the darn cartoon
And now he's off to join the Klan!
Liane:  And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf
But now when I see him he tells me to fuck myself!
Sheila:  Well, blame Canada
Everyone:  Blame Canada
It seems that everythings gone wrong
Since Canada came along
Everyone:  Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Some Guy:  There not even a real country anyway
Ms. McCormick:  My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer it's true
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue
Everyone:  Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?
Sheila:  Heck no!
Everyone:  Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila:  With all their hockey hubbabaloo
Liane:  And that bitch Anne Murray too
Everyone:  Blame Canada
Shame on Canada
The smut we must stop
The trash we must smash
Laughter and fun
must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before someone thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus

Happy Canada Day!!!

I'm celebrating by having finished moving.   Lotsa Kokanees later on today.   ;D

I was up until 1AM, and up again at 4:45AM to finish cleaning before anyone else was around.  I went to the park at 7AM and sat reading a book in the sun and watching the joggers and bladers.

Only a couple of hours and its back to the park for 'festivities'.    ;D

Have a good one, eh,
grant           Cool

P.S.   I'm not gonna be online for a while (not sure how long that is).   Everybody play nice now, ya hear!

(Margi:  I found the nicest little Westinghouse box underneath Crowchild Trail bridge overlooking the river with a mountain view.    Wink)

Echo!!  Not bad at all!  I'm pleasantly surprised!

Your missing Manitoba, Yukon (like Sherry said) Nova Scotia, and Nunavit territory (but that's a new one so you are forgiven! ;D

It was Newfoundland but in 1949.

It was Pierre Elliot Trudeau in 1982... created quite the stink too!  LOL

Ottawa is the current capital...Kingston was the former.

And I'm so impressed you know Bob and Doug Mackenzie!  Too cool!

Hang loose!

I think it came from the Chipowadian tribe meaning Big Tree with Dead Squirel and Moose.

Well of course Cat, if you have a Moose and a Beaver in a canoe, you should expect to run into a Big Tree!  Cuz ya know the Moose is gonna make the Beaver steer!

Happy Canada Day (forgive me, but... Canada day? Seems a bit lame for people who came up with so many very unique and interesting names for things! LOL)

We in the states will be following you shortly with the festive festivities!

I too will be celebrating on the 4th!  I have the rare luxury to say I'm a dual citizen Smiley  (at least almost, waiting on my citizenship still for the US), anyone wanna come to my swearing in? hehe

Never thought about things that way, but you're right, if the beaver steers.... well, all I know is that when Canada offers their military services after the exchange rate you end up with a Beaver a Moose and a Canoe LOL
