I know it’s goofy to post this, because none of you knew him, but where else am I going to go when I’m crying?
There were three of us, during High School: Gary, Jon and me. None of us had heard from Gary in 8 years, when this picture page was posted on our H.S. Alumni web site, in 2000.

Jon was the one that told me about Gary’s death, and he wrote this obituary, today for the Alumni web site.

I know just how you feel today.
Just this monday I was at the funeral of a friend who tookhis own life, only 43.
A great many friends and the little family he had, all trying to comfort each other.
It is hard.

Sorry ta hear it David......we helped friends plan a benifiet poker run for a friend that was in alot of pain and in debt....the friend even called us last year to git us to help arrange it to help him out and get everyne tagether....he killed himself 4 days b-4 the run....we went ahead and went.....I won best hand (royal flush)....lots of great door prizes. But.......sumthin was missing that nite. Strange he did it when he did...was that part of his plan I keep wondering ? Shit happens Pam

David, AND Ave - I'm so sorry for your loss(es).
Suicide never makes sense and it leaves us with so many questions. I'm praying for his soul and for his survivors. I hope you and your friends find some solace in the fact that he is out of his pain now.
Peace be with him, David, and also with you. Same to you, Annemarie - I'm so sorry to hear your very tragic news. 
p.s. what a beautiful tribute article to your friend, David - that debate that they judged at was such an incredible opportunity for them! Doesn't He work in wonderful ways?

Your friend Jon is very eloquent. That brought tears to my eyes and I didn't even know him. There's no way we can ever know why someone feels so hopeless that this is their only option.

So sorry David J... we are still recooperating from a recent suicide... my daughters friend's Dad... We spent the day with her today and there is a missing spark that used to be in this little 9 year old personality...He is greatly misses as will be that spark that he selfishly took away from her...
