gene's thoughts on humor?

My humor has been called in to question. I have a few thoughts on the subject.
RE: this particular site and our message board:
Timing is an all important ingredient in humor, I suggest that when someone takes the time to make a thoughtful serious post/ In my case 3 paragraphs crafted as well as I could to be succinct,literate and on the topic of CH. The timing for making the silly, silly joke about the one typo in the entire post is not the 1st reply.
This is boorish and selfish. To do so trivializes the serious intent of the writer/ after everyone reads the post their next post is this silly one.
More class would be to allow some serious replies to the serious post then perhaps after a few the timing would be right for silliness. So I suggest rather than sending me a humor installation program you might examine whether or not your reply to my post was humorous in any way?? Last suggestion: keep your day job.

Did you at least get my point about waiting for a few replies before immediately posting a silly joke? Especially from a newbie who you don't know yet. This is the big deal! I hope you can see how you have sabotaged this persons serious thoughts for a very cheap giggle ( in this case the chicken reference) Really stupid no? was my post stupid?

There is a multitude of personalities here. I don't think you will have success trying to moderate responses. Not everyone thinks the other is witty, or intelligent, nice, etc. In good times and in bad though, people are there for eachother. We have all kinds.

Please think carefully about this.....
first you took issue with Cootie.....Cootie is one of the kindest, blatantly loving people on this board-
then, you take issue with KOP....who, too, is as kind and as genuine as one could ask for....and he has a fantastic sense of humor....hence, the fallout- NOT directed at you.....
You're good people, Gene, but so are those you feel are calling you out.....there's a lot more to this board than bullys and defenders- there's genuine caring, tons of help and a boatload of support.

Gene, you really are among family here and we do want to help you. Lots of folks here have arrived here in desparation and frustration at the cluster headache incompetency of our medical system. It's our job here at ch.com to work WITH everyone, both sufferers AND doctors, to find a happy medium and push forward for relief. That's really all we're trying to do - is to point you in the direction we've all found to be a little more successful in cluster therapy. Trust me, we've ALL had the aggressive 'tude in the past and are living proof that it's gotten us nowhere. So, maybe put your boxing gloves down, Gene? We mean no harm to you.

Seems to me that if someone has a problem with anything I type they should come to me with it rather than posting all over the board in different threads.

That's all I'm saying here. I'm not commenting on either yours or Brain_Cramp's posts - I'm just telling Gene that I don't think that post was directed at him.
